We're pleased to return to the Rockingham County Nursing Home for another holiday concert. Although we're there to entertain residents and staff, the public is invited too. You'll find the concert in the beautiful atrium, found by parking in the rear lot and entering by the plainly marked entrance lobby. There's no charge, of course, and we hope you might join us and help us light up some lives during the holiday season.

Exeter Holiday Parade

Steps off from OSRAM Sylvania continuing through downtown Exeter

Who says we're afraid of the dark and the cold? Not this big band, buddy! We'll proudly join the Seacoast's best holiday parade this year the Exeter affair. The theme is "Hollywood Hits" so you'll hear White Christmas for sure as we ride along on a humongous float right through the heart of historic Exeter. Arrive a little early and grab a spot near the gazebo in the middle of town for the best view. Sponsored by a whole bunch of nice Exeter businesses, the chamber of commerce and the all-vounteer Exeter parade committee. It's an old-fashioned blast!

Make your holiday season more fun and meaningful with an evening full of friends, fun, swingin' jazz and a helping hand for others. Our community-serving partnership with Portsmouth's best watering hole, The Statey, continues -- this time to benefit HAVEN. This human services organization serves all adults and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. HAVEN is the largest violence prevention and support services agency in our State, and the need for help is rising! We'll provide two sets of jazz. You just bring yourself and some buddies prepared for good cheer (and some good grub if you wish.) No cover charge but a donation will be asked and every dollar given goes directly to HAVEN. One of a series of Blue Note Big Band donated performances to help people who need help.. Free parking. Full menu. Open seating. Please come!

The Birchtree Center helps students with autism and is one of the Seacoast's oldest and widest reaching organizations of its type. We'll provide two sets of jazz. You just bring yourself and some buddies prepared for good cheer (and some good grub if you wish.) No cover charge but a donation for The Birchtree Center will be asked. Every dollar given goes directly to The Birchtree Center. One of a series of Blue Note Big Band donated performances to help people who need help.. Free parking. Full menu. Open seating. Prost!

North Hampton Holiday Picnic and Concert on the Common

Picnic 1:30 and on. Music beginning at 2 o'clock.

Sponsored by Friends of the North Hampton Bandstand.

A terrific family-style event with food and refreshments from the American Legion, a beautiful town green, and music by us! A Seacoast tradition for more than 20 years. No matter your hometown, you'll love this holiday celebration. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and load up the whole family. A ton of fun.

The Jazz Concert at St. Peter's, featuring trumpet virtuoso Jay Daly,

5:30-6:30 p.m. concert. Wine and cheese reception on the lawn follows.

Join us for a very special concert featuring jazz master Jay Daly performing his own tribute to the great American trumpeters. During Jay's 30-minute medley arrangement you'll hear all-time popular solos as performed by legends like Bix Beiderbecke, Roy Eldridge, Ziggy Ellman, Harry James and Louis Armstrong. There's even some Al Hirt and Herb Alpert too. With Jay's witty and informative narration, you are certain to love this program. Jay himself has been lead trumpeter in such lustrous bands as the Artie Shaw Orchestra and has performed with the Boston Symphony Pops among with his many other credits. We are thrilled to be able to accompany Jay and bring him to St. Peter's for this can't miss event. We'll also feature our own vocalist, the terrific Denise Therrien too. This concert is a must if you love jazz and expert musicianship!!

Held in the historic St. Peter's chapel. (Now air conditioned!) This concert usually sells out. For information, telephone 207 361-2030. One hundred percent of ticket sales benefits St. Peter's by the Sea Preservation Fund.

62ND ANNUAL YANKEE HOMECOMING, NEWBURYPORT

Yankee Homecoming Gala Concert and Fireworks, in Waterfront Park,

7:15-9:15, followed by fireworks

For many, the highlight of Newburyport's historic weeklong Yankee Homecoming festival is the Saturday night waterfront concert followed by a spectacular fireworks display. It will be our highlight this year, for sure, as we entertain the "Yankee Homecomers" from 7:15 right up until the fireworks at 9:15. This is a great family event, entirely organized by volunteers, in a wonderful seaport city. Vocalist Denise Therrien will wow you with all-time favorites from the Great American Songbook and modern hits too. And you can look forward to our traditional big band arrangements from the libraries of Basie, Ellington, Kenton, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Glenn Miller and many more. 

The terrific singer songwriter David Corson opens the concert at 6 o'clock. Just bring a lawn chair or blanket and the whole family. Food vendors on site. Admission is free. Perfect!
